The Scandalous End to a 20 Year Old VCR

A man in Florida was arrested recently after he tried to return a 20-year-old VCR to Walmart.

The man, identified as 50-year-old John Smith, walked into a Walmart in Jacksonville and attempted to return the VCR, which he claimed he had just purchased.

The Walmart employee who was working the return desk was suspicious of the VCR, as it was clearly very old and did not have a Walmart sticker on it.

The employee asked Smith for a receipt but could not provide one. The employee then asked Smith when he had purchased the VCR, and Smith said that he had bought it "a few days ago."

The employee became even more suspicious at this point and asked Smith to leave the store. Smith refused to leave, and the employee called the police.

When the police arrived, they arrested Smith for attempted theft. Smith was later released on bond.

It is not clear why Smith tried to return the VCR to Walmart. It is possible that he was trying to scam the store or that he simply forgot that he had already owned the VCR for 20 years.

In a follow-up interview, Smith said that he was trying to return the VCR because it was not working properly. He said that he had bought the VCR from a pawn shop and that he had not been able to get it to work.

Smith said that he was not trying to scam Walmart but was simply trying to get his money back.

Walmart has not commented on the incident.
