How Alta Sweet Tabar Became a Singing and Dancing Sensation
Here at USA News, we remain amazed by the talent we come across. Recently we interviewed one such individual who artistically graces music with the human form.

Her name is Alta Sweet Tabar and we are going to get insights into her life and her magical talent.

Alta, thank you for taking the time to share a part of your life and career story with us. Your videos are mesmerizing, and you make the dance look so effortless. With that in mind, can you tell us if you formally trained in cheer, dance, and acting? How did it all begin?
"I started dancing at three years old and instantly fell in love with it. Growing up, I trained in all types of dance, such as Tap, Contemporary, Pointe, Bollywood, Character, Jazz, Ballet, Pas de Deux, and many more styles. I trained in the Professional Training Division at Ballet West Academy, where most days we danced for over eight hours every day. While training at Ballet West, I was able to attend a school where they could work with me, so I could leave school at a particular time to get to Ballet West, where we trained from 1pm-9pm each day.

One of my favorite parts when dancing at Ballet West was I joined a program called "Movement Mentor," where I taught children with special needs how to dance and built undeniable special bonds. Each summer, I would attend a 6-week prestigious Ballet Summer Intensive; I've attended Houston Ballet, Pittsburg Ballet Theatre, and Ballet West Academy's summer intensives.

In terms of competition, I grew up competing in dance and singing competitions, and I've always loved the stage. I've competed in the World's Largest International Ballet Competition, named Youth American Grand Prix, where I placed Top 12 in both the Contemporary and Classical categories and was invited to the New York City Finals, where I was able to dance with dancers from all around the globe.

In high school, I was on Student Council as well as a cheerleader and was named the America First Scholar Athlete; where I was awarded for my athletic abilities in cheer and dance, academic success, and commitment to community service.

I started singing and acting lessons around the age of seven years old. I've sung the National Anthem for major sporting events such as Real Salt Lake, Salt Lake Bees, and the Utah Olympic Park. Growing up, I would also attend summer acting intensives.

Currently, every day I am training nonstop in dance, singing, cheering, and acting as well as learning how to produce music and write songs. I'm the type of girl you can find reading a book or working on my passions on a Friday night! I love learning and am eager to keep developing new skills!"

What is your favorite of the three?
"This question is tricky! It’s hard to pick a favorite because I love dancing, singing, cheering, and acting for different reasons, and I couldn't imagine my life without them!"

When did you realize it was your calling to be an online influencer?
"I've always had fun making videos because I get to express myself while doing what I love. Growing up, I made dance videos with my friends on Musical.ly, where we quickly went viral and became "crowned" on the app for the dance videos we created in the studios at Ballet West.

I then started back creating videos on TikTok in July 2020. Due to the pandemic, there were no in-person performances, and the stage has always felt like my second home, so I decided to make creating videos my every day "stage" for the time being.

I'm grateful that social media has given me the creative outlet to express myself and my passions, and I never knew I would become an online influencer. I am grateful for how things played out and the opportunities social media has opened for me."

What are the goals you'd like to achieve in the future?
"I've done endless hours of training growing up, and I'm looking forward to putting that training into action and continuing to do what I love. I plan to continue social media, and I would love to get into making music, specifically songs in the dance-pop genre, something fun I can sing and dance to!

Also, I would love to get into TV acting. Also, it would be tons of fun to become an NFL cheerleader! I will always choose to do what I love, pursue my dreams, and take chances!"

Alta, thank you for sharing your incredible life and talent with us. We wish you the very best of success!
