Our Leadership Makes the Mission Possible
AAWTA’s strong and inspiring presence at MATS 2025 was powered by a committed leadership team dedicated to advancing equity, wellness, and opportunity in trucking. Nicole Ward, AAWTA President and Co-founder, brought bold vision and unmatched energy, leading conversations and representing the organization at the highest level. Natasha Jones, VP of Mental Health and Wellness and CEO of HD Screening & Laboratory, championed wellness and compliance as key pillars of workforce development. Ladda Love Hawkins, VP of the Community Engagement Committee and CEO of My Own Lane Consulting, played a vital role in fostering partnerships, supporting community outreach, and creating meaningful connections throughout the event. Donna Sheppard, Co-founder of AAWTA and Director of Driver Relations, ensured the voices and experiences of drivers remained front and center. Together, AAWTA’s leadership team embodied the mission in action—driving change, breaking barriers, and empowering every woman on the road. Also in attendance was Corissa Carter, AAWTA Events Coordinator and Co-founder of the Charleston Trucking Expo, and Johnique Taylor, a leading figure in the trucking industry, known for her innovative contributions and ownership of the Queen of Trucking Mobile Billboard.MATS – A Partnership that Powers Progress:
