Minneapolis, MN — April 12, 2025 — As communities across the country continue to face challenges tied to economic stress and social strain, the family of George Floyd is set to host the 5th Annual Rise & Remember Festival from May 23–25, 2025, in Minneapolis, MN. This year's festival aims to foster healing, unity, and justice while honoring the life and legacy of George Floyd.
The Rise & Remember Festival continues to be a vital space for reflection, dialogue, and togetherness. This year’s gathering will bring people together in a spirit of connection and purpose, inspiring collective action and hope.
Festival Highlights Include:
- Candlelight Vigil at George Floyd Square: A heartfelt tribute to honor George Floyd and those impacted by injustice.
- Community Panel Discussions & Healing Circles: Opportunities to engage in meaningful conversation and promote collective healing.
- Youth Activism, Art Installations & Self-Care Fair: Showcasing youth-led initiatives and promoting wellness through artistic expression.
- Live Music, Cultural Performances & Food Vendors: Celebrating the rich diversity of our communities through music and cuisine.
