This significant milestone highlights its ongoing commitment to the highest standards of data security and privacy and follows the HITRUST r2 Certification that eVero achieved last year.
SOC 2, or Service Organization Control Type II, is a stringent cybersecurity compliance framework established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), designed to rigorously assess a company's internal controls and data security systems. HIPAA compliance confirms that eVero's systems and processes adhere to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, which sets standards for safeguarding personal health information.
To obtain these certifications, a third-party assessor conducted an in-depth audit of eVero’s software, personnel, data management practices, policies, procedures, and operations, verifying that they meet SOC 2 and HIPAA’s demanding requirements for security, availability, processing integrity, and data confidentiality. eVero’s audit was performed by A-LIGN, a trusted compliance assessor and a technology-enabled security partner for over 2,500 global organizations, helping them mitigate cybersecurity risks.
