Keyontae Johnson The Miracle Is Back And Scoring Points
As basketball fans, we all breathed a sigh of relief when Keyontae Johnson returned to the court on Monday for Kansas State. The small forward had suffered a terrifying collapse during a Florida Gators game on December 12th, 2020 and was quickly transported to the hospital in critical but stable condition. He was even placed in a medically induced coma before waking up three days later. Despite this frightening incident, Johnson persevered and transferred to Kansas State this past August. He started in Monday's game against Texas-Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros and, according to head coach Bruce Weber, looked "like his old self."
It's amazing to see Johnson back on the court, playing the sport he loves. Even legendary sports broadcaster Dick Vitale expressed his joy at seeing Johnson back in action. This young player has faced challenges and adversity, but his determination and dedication have allowed him to overcome them and return to the game.
We can only hope that Johnson continues to thrive both on and off the court, serving as an inspiration for us all to never give up on our dreams no matter what obstacles may stand in our way.
