LeBron James Breaks Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s Record For NBA Top Scorer
LeBron James has once again made history as the newest NBA points king, this time breaking the NBA career scoring record on Tuesday against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

James passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in his 1,410th NBA career game. He now has 33,655 points, passing Abdul-Jabbar (33,565) for first place on the league's all-time scoring list.

The game was stopped so that James could be congratulated by his family, the NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, and Abdul-Jabbar. Abdul-Jabbar gave James the ball he used to break the record. James was happy but also emotional during the ceremony. He shook hands with Abdul-Jabbar.

Then James took the microphone to thank his family and friends. Everyone stood up and clapped for Abdul-Jabbar.
