Holistic Circus Therapy Launches Capacity Building for Educators PD Service and Approved for CEU's by AOTA

Holistic Circus Therapy (HCT) is excited to announce the recent launch of its Capacity Building for Educators Professional Development (PD) service.

Nationwide - June 27, 2024 (USANews.com) - Capacity-building workshops for educators help alleviate the need for OT services by preparing teachers to handle occupational therapy-related challenges in the classroom. By equipping educators with strategies for improved sensory processing, executive functions, and tools to promote self-directed student participation for better classroom management, we can create a more inclusive and effective learning environment for all students. Diverse learning styles are more pervasive than ever, and teachers need to feel empowered to meet the needs of those students.

In addition to the Capacity Building for Educators PD service, HCT is proud to announce that it is now approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) to offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for its courses. This means that practicing occupational therapists can earn CEU credits by participating in HCT's courses.

HCT courses explore how occupational therapy can be combined with social circus philosophy to provide effective services in pediatric, mental health, special needs, aged care, community health, and social-political sectors.

After seeing school districts struggle with the lack of occupational therapists available and teachers frustrated by the lack of support they receive to help meet the needs of diverse learners; I am inspired to be able to help address these problems with professional development opportunities for educators. My goal is to provide valuable training and resources that will help support teachers so that they can feel more prepared and empowered to teach classes of learners with diverse needs.
