AEMG TV Announces New Show “Level Up Spotlight” – Philadelphia’s Premier Artist Platform

Oct 3, 2025

Atlanta, GA – (October 3, 2025) – AEMG TV proudly introduces Level Up Spotlight”, Philadelphia’s premier performance and interview platform dedicated to showcasing both established stars and rising talent. Designed to bridge the gap between major artists and emerging voices, the show delivers high-quality live performance videos, intimate interviews, and viral-ready social media content that captures the heart of music and culture.

At the helm of Level Up Spotlight is the multitalented and socially conscious Terrance Tykeem, author, film and television producer, director and recording artist. Tykeem’s artistic journey is as impactful as it is inspiring. Music fans may remember his late 1990s single If You Can’t Learn to Love Her, a groundbreaking track addressing spousal abuse that earned national attention across television and radio. That early success established him as an artist unafraid to use music as a tool for social awareness and cultural dialogue.

A Career of Turning Setbacks Into Purpose

After an on-field injury ended his NFL aspirations, Tykeem redirected his energy into the music industry, founding Top-Flight Records and quickly making his mark. His career has included signing artists, promoting concerts with top acts, and securing major distribution deals with iconic labels such as 125th Street Records, signed by legendary hip-hop figure Eric B, and Brandon Records/Warner Bros. He also played a role in landmark signings, including NAAM Brigade to Electra Records and R&B group Unplugged to Cash Money Records, while participating in the famed Cash Money/Ruff Ryders and Paid in Full tours that helped define an era in hip-hop history.

From Music to Film and Television

Tykeem has long been a visionary in television and film, with projects gaining attention from networks such as BET and VH1. His work includes producing shows like The Players Club, a concept name later sold to Ice Cube for his first feature film, and impactful projects such as Touched, a book, song, and film project aimed at raising awareness about child abuse. His film Jason’s Letter, a moving story of a young boy’s solution to police shootings, reached wide audiences through platforms including Starz, Amazon, Hulu, The Grio, and Showtime. Another major work, When George Got Murdered, offered a bold perspective on the killing of George Floyd and its global impact.

In addition to narrative storytelling, Tykeem has directed his creative vision toward activism and community empowerment. He is the creative force behind the Anti-Violence Campaign and the Philadelphia Eagles musical anthem Say Yeah (watch the video here). His upcoming film Abused, featuring his new song Don’t Give Up with the late Grammy Award-winning artist Angie Stone, is slated to premiere on Netflix in early 2026, further cementing his reputation for blending artistry with social consciousness.

Level Up Spotlight: Elevating the Next Generation

With Level Up Spotlight, Tykeem brings his decades of experience and passion for social impact directly into Philadelphia’s thriving music scene. The show is more than entertainment, it is a platform to uplift new voices, foster meaningful dialogue, and connect audiences with the authenticity of both mainstream and independent artists.

Level Up Spotlight is about giving artists a stage to not only perform, but to tell their stories. It’s about connecting culture, community, and creativity in a way that inspires the world,” said Tykeem. The program is set to feature a mix of live studio sessions, candid conversations, and digital-first content tailored for today’s fast-paced media landscape, ensuring accessibility to global audiences while staying grounded in local culture.

By curating performances and interviews that reflect both artistry and lived experiences, Level Up Spotlight aims to establish itself as Philadelphia’s signature platform for discovering new talent while honoring the achievements of those who paved the way. Its unique positioning allows for a balance of star power and grassroots artistry, creating opportunities for collaboration and mentorship across generations of performers.
