Award-winning author Kiril Kristoff unveiled his acclaimed novel “Crossing Borders of Time: One Man’s Journey to Search for His Ukrainian, Greek & Bulgarian Roots” during the International Impact Book Awards Gala at the Loews Hotel in Hollywood, where he was honored as Author of the Year - 2025 (Historical Fiction).

On November 9, 2025, Kristoff’s first sequel, “Crossing Borders & Generations,” went on to receive the International Christian Book Award in Fort Wayne, Indiana, further affirming his growing influence in faith-based literature.

A Story That Transcends Time and Borders

Crossing Borders of Time chronicles the intertwined destinies of Grandfather Georgi, a Bulgarian immigrant who flees Communist rule to rebuild his life in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn, and his grandson Alexander Kakhovsky, who, after a near-death experience, is transported back to 1948 Communist Bulgaria.

Caught in an era of revolution and repression, Alexander faces not only political danger but also profound spiritual trials,  including visions of Saint George and haunting encounters with ancestral memories. Through faith and endurance, he discovers that courage and love are timeless forces linking generations.

This deeply evocative work of historical fiction blends authentic events with spiritual awakening and immigrant perseverance, painting a portrait of families bound by history and faith.
