Evolve Foundation is transforming clean energy through job training and support for system-impacted individuals.

NATIONWIDE - NOVEMBER 2025 - (USAnews.com) At first glance, Evolve Foundation might seem like just another job training program. But this is not your typical workforce development initiative– it’s. a revolution in how we think about education, employment, and social equity. What sets Evolve apart is their deeply holistic approach to workforce training, which goes far beyond just teaching technical skills. They don’t just help people find jobs, they help them build careers and lives.

The journey began when founder J. Tyran Chandler and his team saw the need for a more comprehensive solution for system-impacted individuals. Many of those entering the clean energy workforce faced unique obstacles that traditional job training programs simply could not address. Evolve Foundation’s mission became clear: to bridge the gap between technical job readiness and the complex, often overwhelming personal challenges that accompany transitioning into new careers.

A Dual-Sided Model for Success

The heart of Evolve’s strategy is the "Sustainable Futures Framework," a dual-sided model designed to support both job-seekers and employers. It’s a novel approach that offers job training and placement while also providing life assistance, including counseling and financial advising. Participants are not only prepared for careers in the clean energy sector, they are equipped with the tools they need to thrive long term.

“The real challenge for system-impacted individuals isn’t just finding a job, it’s staying in that job,” says Edwards. “We’re solving that problem by offering continuous support, tracking retention rates for up to 12 months after placement, and making sure that each person gets the resources they need to succeed. This is about building long-term careers, not just filling short-term positions.”

Since its launch, the Evolve Foundation has already placed 41 individuals into long-term solar careers and has expanded its reach to more individuals who are looking for stable, meaningful employment. But the work is far from done. Evolve is setting its sights on scaling its model nationally.

The Breakthrough: Evolve OS and Tech-Driven Support

As the clean energy workforce sector grows, so does the need for scalable, adaptable solutions that meet the unique challenges of both workers and employers. This is where the Evolve OS comes in. This proprietary platform integrates AI-driven tools, Evolve OS includes a CEJA copilot chatbot that helps participants/companies understand the law and navigate its requirements, along with a Compliance Analyzer that supports companies in preparing accurate, complete compliance plan submissions.

The platform is not just an administrative tool, it’s a lifeline. By utilizing artificial intelligence, Evolve OS helps manage the fragmented ecosystem of workforce development, offering real-time support for participants and streamlining the process for employers. The chatbot can answer questions, offer advice, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards, making it easier for both job seekers and employers to stay on track.

Evolve's commitment to technological innovation doesn't stop there. They are continually evolving their platform to meet the changing needs of the clean energy sector. The goal is clear: to create a national model that can be replicated in other industries and regions, providing a framework that is both effective and adaptable.

Partnerships and the Oglesby Project

One of Evolve’s most exciting recent achievements is their major partnership with Knobelsdorff for the Oglesby Project, a groundbreaking clean energy training facility. This facility will serve as a model for large-scale workforce development in the clean energy sector. By securing such an important partnership, Evolve has positioned itself as a leader in creating the infrastructure necessary to build and sustain a green workforce.

The Oglesby Project is just the beginning. By building partnerships with industry leaders like Knobelsdorff, Evolve is demonstrating that workforce development and clean energy go hand in hand. The Oglesby Project will be an essential training hub, equipping individuals with the skills they need for the growing green economy.

This commitment to large-scale, industry-backed initiatives is what sets Evolve apart from other workforce development programs. While many organizations focus on individual job training and placement, Evolve is designing systemic solutions that involve employers, training facilities, and technology platforms, all working together to create a sustainable workforce.

Stories of Transformation: Real People, Real Impact

Beyond the statistics and partnerships, Evolve Foundation’s impact is most clearly seen in the stories of the individuals they serve. Take Eric, for example. After serving time in prison, he struggled to find meaningful work, until he joined Evolve. “This program opened up doors I never thought possible,” Eric says. “The support I received helped me gain employment with a leading solar company right after completing my training.”

Then there’s Tredest, who went from being on house arrest to landing a management role as Assistant Director of Quality Tech at Summit Ridge. “The program didn’t just help me find a job; they gave me the tools to build a career and provide for my family,” Tredest says. “Now I have the opportunity to grow and advance in the green energy sector.”

And Henry, who was inspired by the mentorship and community within the program, is now pursuing his passion for electrical work. His story highlights the powerful role of guidance and support in transforming lives.

These testimonials highlight the potential of the Evolve Foundation’s model. It’s not just about job placement, it’s about creating lasting, positive change that extends far beyond employment.
