LOS ANGELES (October 2025) – Buffalo 8 has secured the rights to Practically Married, a heartwarming holiday romantic comedy written by and starring Sara Alavi (Courtney Glaude and Lee Daniels’ The Reading, Poor Herman) The film, directed by Juan Carlos Zermeño, is set to make its digital debut on November 28, 2025. The movie will be available on-demand across various platforms, including Amazon, Verizon Fios/Vubiquity, Fandango at Home, Hoopla, and major cable networks. In addition, a pre-sale launch on Fandango at Home will kick off on November 14.

Set against the backdrop of the festive season, Practically Married follows the lives of two sisters, Samantha and Lucy, played by real-life siblings Sara (Courtney Glaude and Lee Daniel’s The Reading, Poor Herman) and Lisa Alavi (Courtney Glaude and Lee Daniel’s The Reading, Aged). Fed up with modern dating, they decide to abandon romance altogether and attempt a new approach to family life: co-parenting children.
