The Kansas City Roos delivered a historic performance on November 18, routing Calvary 119-19 in a game that shattered multiple school records. The 100-point margin of victory was the largest in the program’s history, and the Roos’ defensive effort held Calvary to just 19 total points—the lowest total ever allowed by Kansas City.
From the opening tip, it was clear the Roos were in complete control. Their defense suffocated Calvary, forcing 27 turnovers and limiting the opposition to just 15% shooting from the field. Kansas City’s full-court press created chaos, leading to easy transition baskets. By halftime, the Roos held a commanding 58-7 lead, effectively putting the game out of reach.
Offensively, Kansas City put on a clinic. The team shot 62% from the field and 45% from three-point range. Guard Shemarri Allen led all scorers with 24 points, while three other players finished with at least 15 points. The Roos’ ball movement was on full display, recording 31 assists as they consistently found open looks.
The second half followed a similar pattern, with Kansas City continuing to dominate on both ends of the floor. Even with reserves getting extended minutes, the Roos maintained their defensive intensity and offensive efficiency. Calvary, which struggled to create any consistent scoring opportunities, was held to just 12 points after halftime.
The victory provided a major confidence boost for Kansas City as they continue their non-conference schedule. While the win came against a lower-division opponent, the record-breaking performance highlights the Roos’ depth and defensive identity. The team will now shift focus to tougher matchups ahead, looking to build on their dominant start to the season.
For Calvary, the game serves as a learning experience as they look to bounce back and improve throughout the season. Despite the lopsided result, the team remains focused on development and growth as they prepare for conference play.
