Event Overview And Details

TAMPA, FL. Maryland Group, a U.S. based talent representation and professional development agency, has officially announced the launch of Beauty is Art, an International Contemporary Beauty Art Exhibition. The exhibition opens on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 5:00 PM, at All Art Studio, located at 4725 N Hesperides St, Tampa, FL 33614. The event will run from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and is free and open to the public, making it accessible to both industry professionals and art enthusiasts alike.

A Global Roster Of Award Winning Artists

Beauty is Art presents an exceptional roster of invited artists, featuring beauty professionals with documented competitive achievements. These artists include masters who have placed in national and international championships, bringing a high level of technical expertise and creative excellence to the exhibition. Their work represents years of dedication, discipline, and innovation within a field that is now being reexamined through the lens of contemporary art.

The Vision Behind Beauty Is Art

The concept behind the exhibition emerged from a growing recognition that the work created by top beauty professionals extends far beyond traditional service. Founder Mary Vysotskaya explains that this realization was central to the creation of the project. She observed that many talented artists were producing work with clear structure, intention, and narrative, yet lacked a public platform to present it as art.

“The idea came from watching so many talented beauty professionals create work that simply does not fit inside the word ‘service.’ It has form and intention. It has the full arc from concept to execution. So why shouldn’t that work have its own project, its own place, its own history?” she said.

She further emphasized the importance of accessibility and public engagement. “I think we are looking at the beginning of a distinct direction in art, Beauty Art. And I wanted it to live somewhere public. Not behind the doors of a professional competition. A real art exhibition, where anyone can walk in, see the work, get inspired, or maybe decide they want to start doing this themselves.”

The Complexity Of The Medium

The medium itself adds another layer of complexity to the work on display. Unlike traditional art forms, beauty art exists on living surfaces. A face can change with temperature, emotion, and lighting conditions, requiring adaptability and precision. A nail, often no larger than a coin, serves as a curved canvas that demands careful control and spatial awareness. These materials are dynamic and unforgiving, yet within these constraints, artists create works that demonstrate advanced composition, color theory, and visual storytelling.

Industry Support And Community Impact

This level of artistry hasn't been presented yet in a dedicated exhibition space. Beauty is Art seeks to fill that gap by offering a formal platform where this work can be viewed, appreciated, and understood within the broader context of contemporary art. By doing so, it challenges traditional definitions and expands the conversation around what constitutes fine art.

The event is supported by ANAA, the American Nail Artist Association, a professional organization representing nail artists across the United States. Their support highlights the importance of community within the industry and reinforces the exhibition’s role in elevating professional standards and visibility.
