Aquino's path to business strategy began in law. She holds a doctorate in law from UNIBE in the Dominican Republic, earned in 2005, and a master's degree in international law from IEB and ISDE in Madrid, later adding a specialization in negotiation from IE Business School in 2024.
Her career moved from paralegal to international legal counsel, eventually becoming director of the legal department of an international communications agency, a role that took her to Romania, Egypt, and Greece to coordinate legal teams across borders on complex case negotiations.
