YourWay Storage Pocatello Helps Families Winterize Summer Gear Ahead of Ski Season

POCATELLO, Idaho (Oct. 2026): YourWay Storage McKinley Avenue, located at 762 McKinley Ave in Pocatello, is helping Portneuf Valley residents put summer gear away and make room for winter this October and November. With the Pocatello Ski Swap set for Nov. 13 and 14, the facility offers drive-up units and heated climate-controlled units for fishing boats, motorcycles, bikes, kayaks and camping equipment.

Why Do Pocatello Households Need Extra Storage in the Fall?

Fall in Pocatello moves fast. The Portneuf Valley Farmers Market Harvest Festival and Apple Pie Contest arrives in Historic Downtown Pocatello on Oct. 3 alongside the Great Pumpkin Fest, and by mid-November local skiers and snowboarders are buying and trading gear at the Pocatello Ski Swap.

For many households, that shift means the garage fills up with two seasons of equipment at once. Moving summer items into a storage unit frees up space for snowblowers, ski racks and holiday decorations, and it keeps a fishing boat or motorcycle out of the snow until spring.

What Can Pocatello Residents Store for the Winter?

• Fishing boats: Larger drive-up units can fit a small fishing boat. Anything that fits inside a unit can be stored there.
• Motorcycles and ATVs: Drive-up access makes it easy to roll equipment directly into a unit.
• Bikes, kayaks and camping gear: 5x10 and 10x10 units hold bikes, paddleboards, tents, coolers and patio furniture.
• Items sensitive to freezing: Heated climate-controlled units help protect electronics, instruments, photos, documents and wood or leather furniture during Pocatello winters.

"Every fall we see customers who realize the garage can't hold both the boat and the snowblower. Drive-up units and heated storage let them put summer away the right way and pull it back out in the spring without a hassle."
