DALLAS, Texas, June 20, 2024 (USANews.com)– Robert Renaud, a Certified Personal Trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine, is proud to announce the launch of his innovative fitness product, the Jacked Ass Belt (JAB). Developed during the pandemic to help individuals stay fit while stuck at home, the JAB is set to transform how people exercise, especially those who spend prolonged hours working at a desk.
The Problem: Lower Back Pain from Prolonged Sitting
With the shift to remote work, many have experienced physical issues from sitting at a desk for extended periods. As a fitness professional, Robert identified a common problem among his clients: lower back pain caused by a weakened Lumbo Pelvic Hip Complex (LPHC). This group of muscles and connective tissues is crucial for human movement and stability. The lack of activation in these muscles is often the primary cause of low back pain.
The Challenge: Awkward and Painful Solutions
During his own workouts, Robert faced the challenge of performing hip thrust exercises with limited equipment. Traditional setups using an Olympic barbell were cumbersome and impractical for home use. Attempting the exercise with dumbbells proved to be painful and potentially dangerous, highlighting the need for a more comfortable and effective solution.
Current Options: Inadequate and Unstable
Existing products in the market fell short. They were made from cheap materials, had poor stability, and used Velcro to support weights, resulting in limited capacity and awkward removal. Determined to create a better solution, Robert leveraged his background in design and engineering to develop a hip thrust belt that would address these issues.
Designing a Better Solution
The journey from concept to production was filled with learning opportunities. Robert originally designed the JAB to utilize hooks commonly used in weight training, repurposed to hold dumbbells securely. Extensive testing led to significant design improvements, including the use of heavy-duty military-grade hardware for enhanced durability and an innovative configuration to redistribute weight effectively, resulting in an astounding weight capacity. In addition, the quick-release clips allow for easy removal which solved an awkward design flaw in previous iterations. Versatile and Effective
The Jacked Ass Belt is not only for hip thrusts but can also be used for a variety of exercises, including reverse lunges, squats, curtsey lunges, calf raises, glute bridges, and dips. It targets multiple muscle groups such as the glutes, quadriceps, hamstrings, adductors, abductors, calves, and core, helping users to strengthen their muscles and increase bone density from the comfort of their home using dumbbells or kettlebells.Join the Movement
"I am excited to bring the Jacked Ass Belt to fitness enthusiasts everywhere," says Robert Renaud. "Quality, quality, quality, and ease of use have been the focus during development. I want people to pick it up and immediately know they are using the best materials and durable hardware that will last a lifetime. This product represents a significant step forward in home fitness equipment, providing a safe, effective, and versatile solution for those looking to stay fit and healthy. And I must also mention, to achieve a nice booty too."
