Oregon left no doubt in the 2024 Fiesta Bowl, overwhelming Liberty with a dominant 45–6 performance. The Ducks, led by veteran quarterback Bo Nix, controlled every aspect of the game, demonstrating their offensive firepower and defensive strength.

Nix, playing in his final college game before entering the NFL Draft, put on a masterful performance, throwing for 360 yards and three touchdowns while completing over 75% of his passes. The Ducks’ offense operated at peak efficiency, with wide receivers Troy Franklin and Tez Johnson each hauling in touchdowns.

On the ground, running back Bucky Irving added two rushing touchdowns, helping Oregon maintain balance and keep Liberty’s defense off guard. The Ducks’ offensive line dominated in the trenches, allowing Nix plenty of time to distribute the ball and opening lanes for the rushing attack.

While Oregon’s offense stole the show, their defense was equally impressive. Liberty, which entered the game with a top-10 scoring offense, was held to just 256 total yards and a single field goal until a late-game score. The Ducks’ pass rush consistently pressured Liberty quarterback Kaidon Salter, forcing multiple errant throws and holding the Flames to just 4-of-13 on third-down conversions.

Oregon head coach Dan Lanning praised his team’s preparation and execution. “This was a complete team effort,” Lanning said. “We knew Liberty was a talented team, but our guys played with discipline, energy, and focus from start to finish.”

The victory gave Oregon an 12-2 record for the season and reaffirmed their place as a premier program in college football. With Nix departing for the NFL, the Ducks will enter the 2024 season with a new quarterback under center, but their dominant Fiesta Bowl performance sets the stage for a promising future.
