This highly anticipated performance marks the first stop in San Diego on the band's 2024 "Feeding the Herd" Tour, aimed at raising donations for Feeding San Diego. Austin Martin & The Herd, a Montana-based country rock band, has made a name for themselves by giving back and serving others.
Hunger is a pressing issue that affects millions of people in the United States, including thirteen million children. In San Diego County alone, hundreds of thousands of individuals face food insecurity. According to Feeding America's Map the Meal Gap 2023 research, nearly 300,000 people in San Diego County do not consistently have enough food to lead a healthy life. The consequences of food insecurity are far-reaching, causing high levels of stress and chronic health issues. Both Austin Martin & The Herd and Feeding San Diego share a common mission to combat hunger by actively engaging with their community.
To support their cause, Austin Martin & The Herd will be conducting an online virtual food drive to raise donations. Additionally, they will be organizing social media contests with the aim of surprising two local families with a week's worth of groceries.
