Argentine Digital Artist Hernán Simó Brings “Soul Journey” to Greece Following Barcelona Breakthrough

Argentine digital artist Hernán Simó prepares for his Crete debut this weekend after concluding a defining series of exhibitions in Barcelona.

May 19, 2026

In April 2026, a quiet yet powerful shift unfolded in the international art scene as Hernán Simó stepped into a new chapter of global recognition. Emerging from Mendoza, Argentina, with a vision rooted in spirituality and digital innovation, Simó has long pursued an artistic language that transcends the visible. Now, after receiving the Best Digital Art Award at QIAF 2025 and presenting his first international solo exhibition in Barcelona, his work is no longer merely a rising voice. It is becoming a defining presence, with all eyes now turning toward his upcoming presentation in Greece.

The recent turning point began with his participation in “Portal,” a collective exhibition in Barcelona that concluded earlier this season. Curated by Erika Tranchida in collaboration with Aliarte Art Gallery, the exhibition brought together contemporary artists exploring thresholds between worlds. For Simó, this marked a significant entry into the European art circuit, placing his work in dialogue with an international audience attuned to conceptual and spiritual depth.

The Success Of Barcelona

“Portal” served as a powerful introduction of Simó’s work to a broader global audience. His digital compositions, known for their luminous abstraction and symbolic resonance, stood out for their ability to merge sacred themes with contemporary visual language. The exhibition reinforced his position as an artist who does not simply use technology, but transforms it into a vessel for meaning.

Yet, while “Portal” marked an important milestone, it is what followed that defines this moment as historic in Simó’s career.

From April 15 to April 19, Simó held his first international solo exhibition, titled Fragmentos de Luz (Fragments of Light), in Barcelona. This exhibition represented a culmination of years of exploration and a decisive step into global authorship, setting the stage for his current international expansion.

Next Stop: ‘Soul Journey’ In Crete This Weekend

The focus now shifts to Greece, where Hernán Simó will present his brand new exhibition, “Soul Journey,” this coming weekend. Scheduled from May 23 to May 25, 2026, at the Select Art Fair in Crete, this exhibition is intended as a visual invitation to explore our own soul's path from incarnation to awakening and ascension to a higher realm, through a sequence of symbolic moments where light, faith, and inner transformation become the central language of the work.

The Crete collection features ten artworks presented as limited 1/7 fine art print editions, each accompanied by a Museum Quality Certificate of Authenticity and an NFT. Following a personal invitation by Dr. Thomas Andre Louis Maes, this debut in Greece reflects Simó’s expanding presence within the European cultural landscape.

Building on the themes of light and sacred figures seen in his previous work, “Soul Journey” delves deeper into Christian and metaphysical tradition. Through radiant color and digital mastery, Simó continues to translate spiritual ideas and concepts into visual narratives that invite contemplation and emotional engagement.

This upcoming exhibition further establishes Simó as a storyteller of the spiritual dimension, utilizing technology as a bridge between the material and the transcendent for a truly global audience.

A Global Trajectory Through 2026

The journey does not end in Crete. Dr. Maes, who holds titles including Count of Brasschaat and Duke of Gerani, has also invited Simó to participate in the Monaco Art Fair, taking place from September 11 to September 13, 2026. These invitations signal a growing recognition of Simó’s work within international art contexts.

The Argentine digital artist is increasingly positioning his work in spaces where collectors, curators, and cultural institutions converge. More importantly, this international trajectory allows his work to engage with diverse audiences, reinforcing the universal relevance of his themes.

A Unique Artistic Identity

What distinguishes Simó in a rapidly evolving digital art landscape is his unwavering commitment to purpose-driven creation. While many artists explore digital mediums for innovation or experimentation, Simó approaches them as instruments of meaning. His work consistently explores themes of faith, healing, consciousness, and transcendence.

This focus has allowed him to build a cohesive and recognizable artistic identity. His pieces are not isolated visuals but part of a broader narrative that invites reflection and emotional connection. Whether viewed on a screen or as a physical print, his work maintains a sense of presence that resonates deeply with audiences.

Simó also continues to develop a hybrid model that bridges digital and physical art. By offering both digital formats and museum-quality prints, he ensures that his work remains accessible while preserving its value and authenticity. This approach aligns with a growing demand among collectors who seek both innovation and permanence.

Defining The Future Of Digital Art

The convergence of these milestones—the successful conclusion of his Barcelona exhibitions and the imminent launch of “Soul Journey”—marks a defining period for the artist. It is a validation of a vision that bridges spirituality with technology and tradition with innovation.

His participation in “Portal,” the launch of Fragmentos de Luz, and his presence in major European art fairs collectively position him as a leading voice in contemporary digital art. More importantly, they reinforce his role as an artist who bridges worlds, connecting spirituality with technology, and tradition with innovation.
