This vital initiative is dedicated to raising awareness about the risks of needlestick and sharps injuries and implementing effective prevention strategies to protect healthcare workers around the globe. Sharps injuries pose a significant risk to healthcare professionals, leading to possible exposure to bloodborne pathogens including HIV, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C.
