Licensed esthetician and founder Chandra Davis is on a mission to revolutionize sustainable skincare with her brand, NWÄR SKIN, INC. (pronounced noir). The company’s flagship innovation, SĒID™ film, is a biodegradable, water-soluble strip that delivers skincare products directly to the skin—no bottles, no mess, and no waste.
Developed over four years, SĒID™ film debuted in September 2024 as a game-changing alternative to liquid-based skincare. Each box contains 180 plant-based, cruelty-free film strips packaged in 100% paper-based materials, allowing for simple, hassle-free recycling.
“When I saw a sanitation worker dumping recycling bins into a garbage truck marked for regular waste, I knew the system was broken,” Davis explains. “That’s when I decided to create a product that wouldn’t contribute to the plastic-dominated waste of the beauty industry.”
A Sustainable Solution
The launch of SĒID™ comes after NWÄR SKIN secured $50,000 in funding through Honeycomb Credit. “We’re changing how people think about sustainable skincare,” says Davis. “With SĒID™, we’re proving that innovation and eco-consciousness can coexist seamlessly.”
