NATIONWIDE - JANUARY 2026 - (USAnews.com) Komoni was created by Evangeline Stacy to make people feel good every day. With her wellness products designed to give you a 90-minute spa experience at home, Komoni’s natural and effective approach to care offers a way to feel deeply restored. If you’ve ever wished your moments of calm and clarity could last a little longer, Komoni gives you the tools to refill your own cup and show up for the things that matter most.

The Beginning of Komoni: From Healing Hands to Healing Products

For years, massage therapist Evangeline Stacy helped people find relief through hands-on healing. Wanting to extend the benefits of her work, she began creating simple, natural bath soaks as small gifts for her clients. They loved them. Her unique scent profile and the restorative benefits of epsom salt quickly won people over.

Eventually, many clients, especially athletes—felt awkward continuing to accept the soaks as gifts and insisted on paying for them. With that encouragement, in 2015 she officially began her business  Fittingly, she named her business Roots Essential. The original soak—now called RECOVERY—soon grew into three more: IMMUNITY, a refreshing essential-oil blend; KEEP CALM, crafted for deep relaxation; and DETOX, made with pink Himalayan salt.

In 2017 she brought her handmade creations to Lakewinds Co-op in Minnetonka, who gave her products their first home. From there, she continued expanding her line with unique body lotions, aromatherapy sprays, cleanser bars, shampoo bars, and multi-use ‘Everything’ soaps. Her love for gardening even inspired a collection of firm salves for hands, lips, and skin. Word spread quickly, and before long, her products were carried throughout the Twin Cities’ vibrant co-op community.

A Local Favorite Gaining National Attention

Over the years, the brand maintained its reputation for high-quality, traditionally effective ingredients. By 2024, it had grown enough for Evangeline to invest in a formal trademark, complete with refreshed artwork and clean, eye-catching packaging. Drawing from her Filipino upbringing and the spirit of bayanihan—community, care, and looking out for one another—Evangeline discovered the word Komoni (pronounced “common-y”). It felt gentle, grounded, and aligned with her mission. Her designer loved it, and most importantly, the trademark was approved.

With that, design and packaging work began, and the new brand officially launched in late 2024. The fresh look captured attention, leading stores beyond her hometown to pick up the line. What began in a single Minneapolis co-op is now carried in most Midwestern co-ops and natural markets—and in gift and wellness shops across the U.S.

“It wasn’t about being the next big thing; it was about making something that worked,” Evangeline explains. “My products were never meant to chase the latest wellness trend. They came from a need for real, sustainable relief—and that’s why they’ve resonated with so many kind people.”

Komoni’s line now includes everything from bath soaks and body soaps to hand sanitizers and essential oils, each one crafted to replenish and restore. And is there more to come? Evangeline is always experimenting. “I’m interested in anything that helps the body harness its own ability to heal,” she says. “When you’re healthy, you look and feel beautiful—so maybe expect something along those lines.”

For now, it’s clear that Komoni has grown into more than a wellness brand. It’s part of a larger movement reminding people to prioritize their own care, health, and well-being.

What Sets Komoni Apart: Handcrafted, Sustainable, and Caring

As a family-run business, Komoni is rooted in sustainability. “Reduce, reuse, recycle” guides every step—from transparent ingredient sourcing to minimizing waste and using eco-conscious materials.

“I’m not here to push products,” Evangeline says. “I want to offer real relief. You can’t pour from an empty cup, so replenishing yourself matters.”

A heartwarming part of Komoni’s growth has been customers gifting products to people they care about. Reviews often highlight how the unique scents and gentle effectiveness have improved daily routines, leaving people feeling relaxed, restored, and truly cared for.

How Komoni Supports Your Everyday Well-Being

At its heart, Komoni is about healing and supporting your wellness every day.
